Customize email templates

Digibiz24 automatically sends emails for certain events. Format and content of the emails are set in email templates.

There is an email template type for each event:

  • New member

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a new member registers.

  • New order

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member purchases a course.

  • Password reset

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member requests to reset the password on the login page.

  • Password changed

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member successfully resets the password.

  • Course completion

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member completes a course.

  • Email changed

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member wants to change the email address for login.

  • Comment rejected

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when you reject a member's comment (see also Moderate comments).

  • Course deleted

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when you delete a course.

  • Community deleted

    Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when you delete a community.

For each type of email template, there is a default email template that is available and active.

You can customize the email templates or create new ones. You can only activate one email template for each type of email template.

Edit email template

  1. Switch to the website in Digibiz24 that you want to create a community in.
  2. Click Website in the menu bar on the left-hand side.
  3. Click Email templates.
  4. Click the pencil icon 165688551c61a9.svg next to an email template.
  5. Edit the email template:
    • Title

      Name of the email template for distinction in Digibiz24. Recipients do not see this name.

    • Subject

      Subject of the email.

    • Email content

      Text that the member receives. Use the editor and placeholders in the text. Enter the placeholders in square brackets, for example: Hello [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]!.

  6. Click Save.

Create email template

  1. Switch to the website in Digibiz24 that you want to create a community in.
  2. Click Website in the menu bar on the left-hand side
  3. Click Email templates.
  4. Click the Add button in the header.
  5. Edit the email template:
    • Title

      Name of the email template for distinction in Digibiz24. Recipients do not see this name.

    • Subject

      Subject of the email.

    • Email template type

      Determines the email template type.

    • Email content

      Text that the member receives. Use the editor and placeholders in the text. Enter the placeholders in square brackets, for example: Hello [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]!

  6. Click Save and finish.

    The new email template has the status inactive.

  7. Activate the email template.

Email template type New member

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a new member registers.

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [MEMBER_PASSWORD]: Password at registration
  • [MEMBER_EMAIL]: Email address of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [COURSE_LIST]: List of purchased courses
  • [BUSINESS_DOMAIN]: Login page of the website

Email template type New order

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member purchases a course.

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [MEMBER_EMAIL]: Email address of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [CREDENTIALS_SENT_DATE]: Date when the login details were sent
  • [COURSE_LIST]: List of purchased courses
  • [BUSINESS_DOMAIN]: Login page of the website

Email template type Password reset

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member requests to reset the password on the login page.

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [MEMBER_NEW_PASSWORD]: New password of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website

Email template type Password changed

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member successfully resets the password.

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [MEMBER_EMAIL]: Email address of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website

Email template type Course completion

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member completes a course.

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [COURSE_NAME]: Name of the course
  • [BUSINESS_DOMAIN]: Login page of the website

Email template type Email changed

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when a member wants to change the email address for login.

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [BUSINESS_DOMAIN]: Login page of the website
  • [MEMBER_OLD_EMAIL]: Old email address of the member
  • [MEMBER_NEW_EMAIL]: New email address of the membe
  • [CONFIRMATION_LINK]: URL for confirming the new email address

Email template type Comment rejected

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when you reject a member's comment (see also Moderate comments).

The following placeholders are available for this email template:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [COURSE_NAME]: Name of the course
  • [CHAPTER_NAME]: Name of the chapter
  • [LECTURE_NAME]: Name of the lesson
  • [COMMENT_URL]: URL of the comment written by the member
  • [COMMUNITY_GUIDELINES_URL]: URL of your community guidelines
  • [BUSINESS_DOMAIN]: Login page of the website

Email template type Course deleted

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when you delete a course.

For this email template, the following placeholders are available:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [MEMBER_LAST_NAME]: Last name of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [COURSE_NAME]: Name of the course
  • [BUSINESS_DOMAIN]: Login page of the website

Email template type Community deleted

Digibiz24 sends emails with this email template when you have deleted a community.

For this email template, the following placeholders are available:

  • [MEMBER_FIRST_NAME]: First name of the member
  • [BUSINESS_NAME]: Name of the website
  • [COMMUNITY_NAME]: Name of the community
