With the Pagebuilder, you can set the background for the entire page, per section, or per row.
The following order applies: The background of the entire page is covered by the background of the section. The background of the section is, in turn, covered by the background of the row.
If you want to let a background show through, you can set the section or row to be transparent.
Example:
1 | You can specify a background color. |
2 | You can specify a background image. |
3 | You can then overlay both with a transparent color. |
4 | You can overlay everything with a YouTube video. |
Another example: You can embed a smaller image into a colored background and overlay everything with a transparent white to soften the background.
Set background for the entire page
This is how you can set the background for an entire page:
- Open a landing page, website page, or a course theme in the page builder.
- In the header bar, click on Settings.
- Click on Background.
- You have the following options:
- In the Background type field, select the option Image to fill the page background with an image or a color:

Click on the image icon in the BG image field.
The Uploaded Images window is displayed.
- You have the following options:
- Use an uploaded image by clicking on the image you want to use.
- Upload a new image:
- Click on Upload image
- Click on the uploaded image.
- Click the Add button.

In the Image position field, select where the chosen image should be positioned.
Try different options to find the right one.
- In the Overlay color field, select a color to be placed under the chosen image.

- In the Background type field, select the option Video to play a YouTube video across the entire background of the page. The image settings remain unchanged:
- In the YouTube URL field, enter the address of a YouTube video.
- In the End action field, select an option for the first run of the video:
- Select Loop to have the video start over continuously.
- Select Hide video to hide the video after one run. If you have selected a background color and/or a background image, it will be displayed.
- Select Redirect to URL to display a selected website after the video finishes playing. Enter the URL of the website into the Redirect to URL field.
- If you uncheck Enable privacy-enhanced mode, the video is no longer GDPR-compliant. You must then activate the Cookie Consent.
- In the Background type field, select the option Image to fill the page background with an image or a color:
- In the header bar, click on Save.
- Click on Preview in the header bar to test the changes.
Set background for a section
This is how you can set the background for a section:
- Open a landing page, website page or a course theme in the page builder.

Clear on the gearwheel icon to configure the section in the side menu.
You have the following options:
- Set a background image for the section. This will cover the background image of the page.

Click on the image icon .
You have the following options:
- Use an uploaded image by clicking on the image you want to use.
- Switch to the Library tab.
- Switch to the Brackground tab.
- Upload a new image:
- Click on Upload image
- Click on the uploaded image.
- Use an uploaded image by clicking on the image you want to use.
- Click the Add button.

- Use an uploaded image by clicking on the image you want to use.
