Your custom domain is a unique name on the internet that serves as the address for a website (e.g. customdomain.com
). Having your "own" custom domain means that you have selected the specific domain name and registered it with a hosting service of your choice.
To allow customers to access your Digibiz24 website via your own domain, you can connect Digibiz24 websites with custom domains. Your customers will then access your Digibiz24 website through both your own domain and your standard domain. However, they will always see your custom domain as the address.
- Step 1: Add a CNAME record at your hosting service
- Step 2: Register your custom domain in Digibiz24
- Special case: Use a custom domain without a subdomain
- Examples of possible use cases
Note
In Digibiz24, you can only register custom domains that include a subdomain.
What is a subdomain?
Here, help is a subdomain of the domain digibiz24.com.
In the example
shop.customdomain.de
, shop is a subdomain of the domain customdomain.de.
Tip
To use a domain without a subdomain (e.g.,
customdomain.de
), you can use the subdomain www.
Step 1: Add a CNAME record at your hosting service
You use the CNAME record to tell your hosting service where your customers should be redirected when they access your custom domain. The CNAME record for your Digibiz24 website is cd.digibiz24.com.
- Go to the domain settings of your hosting service.
-
For your subdomain (e.g.,
shop.customdomain.de
), enter cd.digibiz24.com as the CNAME record. You can find instructions for some hosting services here

Digibiz24 takes care of the SSL certificate for you, i.e. you don't have to book or set it up.
Step 2: Register your custom domain in Digibiz24
The subdomain configured in Step 1 (e.g., shop.customdomain.de

- In the main menu bar, click on Settings > Website Settings.

It can take up to 48 hours for your settings to be updated at the hosting service and recognized by Digibiz24.

To have a domain without a subdomain (e.g., customdomain.de
) redirect your customers to your Digibiz24 website, it is best to use the subdomain www.
This means you enter the CNAME record cd.digibiz24.com for the subdomain www and set up a redirect from customdomain.de
